Outdoor activities include paintball, archery, clay pigeon shooting and air rifles. We also offer team building assault courses and orienteering, plus Stag & Hen nights with 'special accomodation'...

Paintball - This means war! Two teams battle it out in dense woodland each defending their own base whilst the other attemts to overrun it. A range of different attack and defend scenarios can be played, including a night exercise where Teams are dropped off at different locations and have to find their way back to base without being spotted by the other Team.

Our paintball activities can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of experience in over 50 acres of woodland with 6 different Game Areas.

Target Archery is the traditional English country sport. Once a lethal weapon used to devastating effects in battles by kings such as Henry V at the battle of Agincourt, it has now found a more peaceful and less dangerous role.

Archery can be competitive but at the same time relaxing and enjoyable for either corporate companies or private party's. Located within our 350 acre site in the Monnow Valley, our extensive archery stands ensure that you not only get an exciting experience, but some of the most spectacular views in the UK as well.

Crossbows - Another skilled based shooting activity, whereby the delegate learns how to fire a bolt at a given target, on a similar basis to Archery.

Clay Pigeon Shooting takes place under cover in an all weather shooting area, in our woodland. A variety of different clays are launched from automatic traps, each simulating the flight pattern of a different bird e.g. Teal, Pheasant, Woodcock etc.. We also operate a 'Flush', whereby two participants shoot simultaneously, at a group of 20 assorted clays, which are launched together.

Laser Clay Shooting - A combination of traditional shooting skills and modern technology. When the target is hit, a laser controlled, infra-red, pulse of light picks up the reflective material on the clay and registers a score on the digital scoreboard. Five guns can shoot at the same target and each hit will be registered. Ideal for use at hotel venues where there may be restrictions on traditional shooting activities, this activity can also be played indoors, with themed static targets.

(Room would need to be 2.5m high, 5m wide and 5-6m long).

Air Rifle Shooting - A skill based activity requiring total concentration and quick reflexes. Our approach to Air Rifle Shooting makes demands on the shooter's alertness, where the area incorporates 'pop-up' targets, testing reflexes to the maximum.

Safety - participants are shown and explained safety procedures. The safe us of bows, rifles and all shooting equipment is demonstrated by qualified members of the Monnow Team.
